Overview
«Realm Rumble: Unleash Chaos and Conquer» is an ambitious project developed by Professional Capybaras, a team of four talented individuals. As the team lead and responsible for AI programming, systems programming, and general programming, I, Miguel Martinez, played a critical role in bringing the vision to life. The team also included Donovan Sellers as the UI Programmer, Sean Jamelarin focused on Animations, and Jairo Manon handling Network Engineering. The game was developed over a span of five months, from August to October 2023, using Unreal Engine 5. The project incorporated various technologies such as C++, AI Blackboards, and AI Behavior Trees to offer a rich, real-time strategy experience.
Story Concept
Set in a realm crafted by the Ultimate God, Caelum, the Architects of Caelum are workers with unique powers directed to build the world. These builders share a vision for the landscapes and nature but are divided on the fate of the intelligent beings inhabiting the world. Players take on the role of these builders, leading their creations in a battle for supremacy. To do so, they must protect their central village while seeking to destroy their opponent’s dominion.

Players must strategically manage their resources to build structures, spawn troops, and make key decisions that influence the game’s outcome. The primary objective is to destroy the enemy’s central village while defending your own.
